edgar J. Ridley and Associates is proud to announce that our Chairman, Edgar J. Ridley has been inducted into the inaugural Black Authors Hall of Fame by the 2023 Harlem Book Fair!
With this seminal honor, Edgar has been designated a Living Legend by the 2023 Harlem Book Fair, as it is in recognition of Edgar’s pioneering genius for developing his ground-breaking concept, the Symptomatic Thought Process®. Edgar’s recent book, The Golden Apple: Changing the Structure of Civilization - An Anthology, provides the answer to the problems faced in the world, delivering a continuing critique of man’s barbaric behavior, from antiquity to the present. Edgar’s discovery, a Symptomatic Thought Process ®, addresses the human propensity for magical thinking, leading to the inability to face reality. This is known as symbolic thought, which leads to superstition, mythology, and racism. Edgar’s work educates us on the damages wrought by symbolic thought and behavior, and he provides a foundation for changing behavior, a shift to thinking symptomatically. Edgar’s Symptomatic Thought Process® is a registered trademark of Edgar J. Ridley and Associates.

(Almaty, Kazakhstan) – As part of the continuing field research into human behavior accompanying the unique research methodologies of Edgar J. Ridley & Associates, the principals traveled to Kazakhstan, Central Asia, to extend the firm's global research platform. This was done through an extensive itinerary, from many substantive meetings with business and academic leaders to exploration of the apple forests in Zhungarsky National Park in the Zhungur Alatau Mountains, a protected area requiring multiple government permits for entry.
Kazakhstan is the world’s ninth biggest country. Its large oil and gas reserves make it the world’s 21st biggest producer - they hope to be in the global Top Ten by 2015. The most economically advanced of the ‘stans’,Kazakhstan has reinvented itself as a prosperous and modern Eurasian nation over the past two decades. Almaty is the commercial and social hub; while Astana has been transformed into a 21st-century capital.
“It is important to discern the similarities that occur among the world’s peoples if we are to solve the problems of human behavior”, says Edgar J. Ridley, Chairman of Edgar J. Ridley & Associates. “Whether in West Africa, Central or Southeast Asia, or the Americas, the damage wrought by symbolic behavior is evident among people.” Said Linda Ridley, CEO of Edgar J. Ridley & Associates, “As so-called developing countries make their mark on the world, significant opportunities present themselves for collaboration and change management. Edgar J. Ridley & Associates is on the cutting edge of these opportunities.”
